The Adeunis Comfort measures temperature and humidity in a room – and can do something beyond that which most sensors in its class cannot: it has an alarm button with which people can report themselves that something is wrong, and a volt-free input for an external contact. It counts both. That turns the plain measuring device into a return channel: the room climate is in the data, and so is the users’ feedback. For meeting rooms, offices and workplaces that is exactly the difference between a curve nobody looks at and a report somebody acts on.

What sets the Comfort apart
- The user can speak up: a press of the alarm button triggers a transmission. Anyone who has tried to deduce from climate data alone whether someone feels uncomfortable knows what that single button is worth.
- Alarm on threshold: if temperature or humidity crosses a set limit, the device transmits immediately – independently of the normal measuring interval. A server room that warms up overnight does not report only in the morning.
- One input for everything else: whatever you like hangs on the volt-free contact – a door contact, a float switch, the fault contact of a plant. One device thus covers two jobs.
- Events are counted: not just the state but the number of actuations is transmitted. Button presses become a frequency, contacts become a count – for door openings, for instance.
- Replaceable battery: unlike many sensors with a potted cell, the device survives the years; only the battery is renewed.
- Certified and documented: LoRa Alliance Certified, LoRaWAN 1.0.3 class A, made in France – for tenders in which origin and certification have to be proven.
Where it is used
- Meeting rooms: monitor the climate and give the participants a button with which to report that the air is stale.
- Offices and workplaces: evidence of workplace conditions, combined with the direct return channel.
- Plant and storage rooms: threshold alarm on temperature, plus a plant fault contact on the same device.
- Facility management: faults are reported where they arise – without anyone having to raise a ticket.
- Doors and access points: count openings through the contact input, alongside the climate measurement.
- Schools and public buildings: where room climate is to be documented and reported by users.
That settles the selection. What follows is the depth for operation.
Measuring interval, alarms and battery life
Battery life depends almost entirely on how often it transmits. For room climate an interval of ten or fifteen minutes is as a rule enough – temperature and humidity in a building do not change in seconds. Setting one minute shortens the service life considerably without gaining anything in substance.
The threshold alarms are the reason the long interval works anyway: the normal cadence supplies the curve, the alarm supplies the response. Set the threshold so it does not fire constantly in everyday use – a sensor that reports at every ray of sunshine is ignored after two weeks, and the battery is flat all the same. A hysteresis, that is a reset gap, prevents chattering around the limit.
On the contact input: it is volt-free, so it expects a pure switching contact and no applied voltage. A relay contact, a reed contact or a push button will do; an output supplying 24 V does not belong on it directly. When in doubt, put a coupling relay in between.

Help with sizing
Unsure whether the contact input suits your plant, or how many devices one gateway carries? Describe briefly what is to be reported – we will tell you whether the Comfort is the right device or whether a simpler sensor is enough. And if it turns into a project — sizing, pre-configuration or commissioning — we will gladly put together a quote.
